Standart Daily, 17 September 2010
Bollywood films are to flood Bulgarian cinema theaters in October. A motley mixture of India’s best films arrives for a festival in Bulgaria. The fans will be able to see in Cineplex Bollywood’s top 9 films and the cream of their contemporary stars - Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan. According to the festival’s organizers, Bulgarians have established a very good attitude to Indian cinema since the time of the cult dramas like My Friend, the Elephant (Safed Haathi) and Nuri but tradition has been broken and the Indian cinema has been neglected for the last twenty years.
The festival Namaste Bulgaria was reportedly organized to remind about the eastern magic. The festival is supported by India’s Embassy to Bulgaria and HE, Divyabh Manchanda.
