Russian Investment funds show increased interest in Bulgarian SPA centers and balneology resorts. Although they initially show their interest in Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, there is a growing interest towards the inner part of the country.
These facts were reported by the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR), quoting the President of the Bulgarian branch of the international real estate federation FIABCI. She also said that Russian investors are inquiring about the possibility to purchase entire SPA complexes at once. A new tendency is to purchase lands near popular SPA centres such as Sapareva Banya and Hissarya where they intend to build vacation homes for high-end Russian clients. The latter visit Bulgaria not only to enjoy a fab holiday, but also to benefit from the healthy climate and natural resources which are in abundance in the country.
According to experts, this new trend is to replace individual private Russian interests in Bulgaria's tourist sector.
The trend has been noticed this year as investors aim at purchasing holiday apartments which later they resell to Russian individuals or resell the land plots on the Russian market.
