Bulgaria is rapidly gaining popularity as a valuable SPA tourism venue. Many tourists are interested in wellness, relax and SPA breaks, and they are well aware of the advantages of a SPA holiday and the numerous temptations.
An increase in the number of bookings in 4 and 5 star spa hotel is registered from the beginning of the year compared to the same period last year.
Velingrad, SPA capital of the Balkans, Hissarya, Sandanski and Devin are the most popular spa resorts.
In order to attract more tourists in weekends, some of the hoteliers reduced prices significantly and proposed additional services as thematic dinners or special services. Thus, the price level is prevented from drastic lowering and all hotels maintain their reputation.
One of the advantages of Spa centres is that they are open all year round and therefore do not depend on the season. In this way, tourists are able to combine their ski or summer vacation with SPA retreat in Bulgaria. In order to choose the most suitable SPA venue and package, the holidaymaker has to determine what is included in the total amount payable.
Many travellers show interest in offers which include additional extras in SPA hotels. There are some key issues which are important for the final choice: mineral water in the complex, conditions for a SPA vacation, as well as swimming pools.
As far as family holidays are concerned, tourists tend to book a relaxing holiday in SPA hotels which have children playground and baby-sitters.
