Comment: We booked the hotel due to its price of 90 Euros for a double including breakfast which cannot be beaten for a 5-star-hotel.
We had asked for a non-smoking room when booking a couple of weeks ago and again hen checking-in and received a large, cosy and luxury room which unfortunately smelled awfully from smoke.
When discussing this with the reception, we immediately received a different room which was also large, cosy and luxury and did not smell.
There were some stains in the carpet which I do not expect in a 5-star-accommodation but they did not reduce the overall impression. We could park directly in front of the hotel free of charge.Although the hotel is located at a main street you do not hear any noise and can have a nice and quiet rest.
Anyways, especially with respect to the price and what you get for it I would recommend this hotel in every case.

Comment: Quick check in. Hotel staff speaks very good English. The room was perfect in every way. High-speed internet (not wireless) worked flawlessly. Everything looks very new. Air conditioning works well, although the temperature was not extreme. Met my friends in the mezzanine bar for a couple of beers (boy, was I thirsty), then off to bed.
ALL prices are quite reasonable to jaded western European travelers.Minibar prices are quite reasonable.

Comment: We stayed at Anel Hotel for a weekend getaway. Our reason for visiting was relaxation and spa treatments. It can be called an art hotel since its basic characteristic is the art surrounding all areas and rooms of the hotel with elegant paintings and sculptures. The hotel is new and luxurious comparing to the rest city picture. The room walls are wood-covered and the bathroom is marble with jet massage shower.
It is a peaceful area with wonderful massage treatments. The therapists are very professional and base their techniques on each client´s needs.
The hotel is very close to the Mall of Sofia (4 minute walk) and the Tzum Mall (10 minute walk), as well as the only street we enjoyed visiting for lunch and coffee, Vitosha street. It is also very close to the very nice Carribbean restaurant and the Sheraton Casino. For us It was better to eat out as the restaurants of the hotel were not up to our standards.
