Comment: We stayed one night at the end of September. Unfortunately, we had bad weather - cold & rainy. We still made good use of the indoor spa and outdoor jacuzzi - if the weather had been nice, it would have been amazing!. The setting is beautiful; in the middle of the woods on top of a hill looking down at the city of Velingrad. We had a sky view room which overlooked the pool, jacuzzi & the city. It was quite small, however, you didn't want to stay in the room anyway. Their spa treatments are excellent and extremely well-priced. You could get two lengthy treatments for the price of one treatment in the USA. We paid 50 lev for 50 minutes and 75 lev for 70 minutes. The hot stone massage was the best I've ever had. The hotel staff were okay, but the spa staff were very very friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak much english. Breakfast buffets in Bulgaria are usually not good so we did not expect much from this place. We stayed at 5 hotels in Bulgaria with different star ratings and you'll never get an American breakfast. At the Dvoretsa, there was some hot food - eggs & sausage - cooked poorly. We had room service which was also below par.

Comment: Dvoretsa is a great place for relaxing, and the spa centre is wonderful with its several pools and saunas/steam rooms. The cosmetic treatments and massages are of high quality and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very good as well, though English is a challenge for most of the staff. The hotel could try to make a bit more of an effort in providing information about different services (e.g.cosmetic treatments, hiking and biking excursions etc.). Velingrad in general, located in a beautiful valley, is a nice city to spend a holiday at.

Comment: Great pool and Spa Center. The restaurant is great and offers some exotic dishes(such as roast lamb smothered in chocolate)Other restaurants in the area are much cheaper and offer a more authentic Bulgarian cuisine. The rooms are a bit small, but well furnished. Book a Jr. Suite ,if possible, as they are much more spacious then the regular rooms and have a sitting area. Do not get the syline view room, as its window is more like a pothole, and you will never have any daylight.

Comment: Does not deserve the five star rating. Rooms are tiny and nothing impressive. The staff is average. The only good things are the Spa center, which is great, the large pool and the restaurant. Averge Hotel.
