Comment: This is the 3rd time we have travelled to Bulgaria, cause we love ut soo much. Decided to try out Sunny Beach as we were going at the end of the season (last week in Sept) and although Sunny Beach is not my preference we decided to give it a go hoping it would still have some life!!!!
Sunny Beach itself it a town made for the tourists, everywhere you go there are shops, stalls, bars, clubs, etc. There are numerous places which we enjoyed but a warning if like me you like your spirits with a soft drink check your prices before you buy, you can get a large beer for about 50p but in one place I was being charged £4 for a vodka and coke!!!! They are meant to give you your soft drink seperate but I was conned in one certain bar they charged me the equivlant of a cocktail?!?!?!?
Any way Im meant to be reviewing the hotel..........The Flora is part of three hotels (Rodopi and Zvete are in the same complex) they are all classed as 4 star hotels i think this is a little generous. Although there is nothing wrong with the hotels and its amenties everything is average, nothing special. We had a massive room, which was nice but not required when there was only 2 of us! The bathroom was a lovely surprise nice large walk in shower (enough room for more than 2!). We had a huge balcony but unfortunately it was overlooking the hotels across the road that had already shut for the season. I would say the hotel could do with some cosmetic touch ups, there were a few cracks in the walls in out room but probably due to a rush job. The house keeping staff were briallant, although they spoke no english they always made an effect when you passed saying hello, and leaving your bed with towels shaped in a heart. etc.
Onto the food well no complainants if you have stayed in an all inclusive resort before you know what to expect. Plenty of choice, at some points too much to choose from both me and my partner are typical in our eating habits; continental breakfast, skip lunch and then meat and veg for evening meal. In regards to drinks the choice is fab, so no complainants.
